I specialise in outdoor photography, as the main inspiration for my photography is the natural world: landscapes, wildlife, and abstract patterns. I try to convey the beauty, tranquillity, wonder and/or drama that I find in the countryside. I also enjoy photographing architecture and the built environment.
Born and raised in East Yorkshire, I now live in a small village near Malton, North Yorkshire, and have a deep affinity for this part of the world. Many of my images are taken in North Yorkshire – either in the Howardian Hills National Landscape (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), the Yorkshire Wolds, the North York Moors or on the Yorkshire Heritage Coast. The variety of scenery in North Yorkshire means I rarely have to travel far from home for inspiration.
I work with a Sony A7R iv full-frame mirror-less digital camera and with fully manual medium format Mamiya film cameras.
All images are available to purchase and are printed professionally and backed with high-quality card to ensure they remain flat once framed. Mounts are hand-cut and signed by the photographer.
